Ongoing projects are Housing Estates (projects) that have been conceptualized and which are at various stages of completion either at pre-contract or post-contract levels. They come with standard infrastructure and utilities that provide a suitable living environment. Infrastructures provided include: well-paved access roads and parking lots; stormwater drains and culverts; water supply and distribution network; Electricity supply and distribution network, liquid and solid waste disposal systems, recreational facilities (parks and gardens) and sporting facilities
The Authority is currently involved in estate development at the following locations.
- Apo Hill, Abuja
Construction of over 900 housing units just commenced with groundbreaking in December 2009 at Apo Hill, Abuja through a Public-Private Partnership arrangement. - Owerri, Imo State
Two estates are under development here on Public-Private Partnership with a total of 360 housing units to be realized. - Abesan 13 Lagos
Construction of a block of flats through direct construction is about starting at Abesan 13, Lagos. Over 300 three-bedroom flats will be realized. - FHA ZUBA PROJECT ESTATE, ABUJA
The FHA Project Comprises; THREE BEDROOM BLOCK OF 8 FLATS, ONE BEDROOM BLOCK OF 16 FLATS, TWO BEDROOM BLOCK OF 8 FLATS, and THREE BEDROOM TERRACE DUPLEX (4 FLATS PER BLOCK). - Zuba Mass Housing Project – Abuja
- Kwali Mass Housing Project – Abuja

Cooperative Housing
The Authority has developed sustainable frameworks for its Social and Cooperative Housing Schemes. The Authority is building and fostering sustainable relations by:
- Identifying Cooperative Societies, Trade Associations, Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) with need and capacity for homeownership;
- Agreeing on modus operandi and levels and scope of collaboration;
- Delivering on sustainable basis quality, affordable and accessible housing solutions to Nigerians.
